A Sample Conference Event with WorldGAMES

The Event
400 Bankers at AJC Randwick

Participants
Members of a cross functional Australia-wide team

Participant Profile
Mostly task-focused, detail oriented, battle-weary and jaded

Requirement
Provide 3 key activities during the day to
  1. set the theme for the day and demonstrate to participants this was a fun, engaging and teamwork rewarding experience
  2. provide a link between the internal and external speakers
  3. reinforce the team vision being promulgated and the cooperation / celebration themes for the day
  4. work seamlessly and in full partnership with MC's Explosive Minds
  5. provide activities where the learnings were both subliminal and lightly but professionally debriefed to reinforce the Bank's behavioural guidelines
  6. maximise participant participation
  7. finish with a crackerjack game that brought the whole day together and left participants feeling they had really had a worthwhile experience

The Solution

WorldGAMES used 5 facilitators for the event. A different lead facilitator for each of the 3 activities plus 4 "quadrant" facilitators each looking after 100 participants during each activity. Two games were specifically designed by us for the occasion.

The Activities

Dry Synchronised Swimming led by Benita Collings had everyone up and rocking.

Quadrant facilitators selected one team each for the big dance-off. Some awesome performances and 100% participation.

Searching for clues at one of WorldGAMES conference events

Randwick Carless Rally led by Lily Cubrillo.

A challenging team event that combines the very best of client product knowledge, Randwick trivia, cryptic puzzles, car rally style clues throughout the venue and treasure hunt.

Something for everyone that requires careful planning and teamwork to succeed.

Building bridges at one of WorldGAMES conference events

Building Bridges led by John Radclyffe.

All 44 tables in the room linked in record time. Every table team completed a replica of a famous bridge that met design and weight specifications.

Participants often work in isolation from their colleagues in this Bank function and the game was specifically designed as a metaphor for their connectivity to each other.

Spectacular results. Every bridge was at least twice the weight-carrying specification and fantastic look-a-likes too.

The Outcome
a huge success and a very happy client.

"Overall there was an overwhelming response from the audience, 98% agreeing strongly that they felt valued by the organisation, they thought teamwork would be better, they had a clear understanding of the Vision and that the event was worthwhile."

For ten years, one of WorldGAMES' specialities has been helping clients make large events fun, active and rewarding. We understand how to balance the needs of both client and audience with just the right games, exercises or simulations for the day. We have always had great feedback and continuously learn and improve ourselves. By our own standards, this was one of our best conference events yet.
